Money back guarantees claims that are not submitted by EPISCS’s claim submission service are not tracked through the verification service.
EPISCS tracks the shipping labels voided by the shipment voiding service and verifies successful voids are credited back to shipping accounts, as credits on a future invoice or as refunds to the credit card on file with FedEx® or UPS®. Shipping labels voided by the shipper are tracked through the verification service, and reported as cancelled within the EPISCS application.
EPISCS tracks the notifications sent to third-party shippers for unused shipping labels and verifies successful voids are credited back to shipping accounts, as credits on a future invoice or as refunds to the credit card on file with FedEx® or UPS®. Shipping labels voided by third-parties that are not included within the unused shipping label notification feature in EPISCS are not tracked through the verification service.
Claim verification methodology
The credits section within FedEx® and UPS® invoices is processed and reconciled to shipments and auditing activities performed by EPISCS to secure each refund. EPISCS only collects service fees on refund credits secured by EPISCS. Better software is the driver of this industry-leading billing service.
New shipping accounts
The cut-off date for refund claims is specific to the type of refund claim request submitted. Late package money back guarantee claims, for example, are 15 days for both FedEx® and UPS®. Whereas other refund claim request types are longer. Upon registration, EPISCS will audit historical shipments according to the cut-off dates for each reason why money back guarantees are delivered and file claims on those shipments when a possibility for a refund credit exists.
